Sterling Silver and 18K Yellow Gold necklace. When I was making shapes and bending the wire to fuse to the back of pendant this shape came. When I started fused gold to it and and deciding if I wanted to add anything I felt the file marks would be perfect to make the abstract wing. The boarder on the back makes the larger surface not stick to your chest which can be nice if you’re like me and like to wear jewelry throughout the day, even a workout. I try to leave as much of the texture that comes from fusing the gold to the silver to add depth, but it also makes it feel interesting. Adding patina to the Silver was an awesome way to help the gold pop.
